We’re excited to announce THREE Hip Hop artists that will make their debut on the Revival Stage at SoulFest 2018! Look forward to artists Propaganda, Sho Baraka, and DJ Maj this summer!


SHO BARAKA

We’re excited to announce this incredible hip-hop lineup to the SoulFest 2018 stage! For the first time Sho Baraka will join the lineup with for KING & COUNTRY, Crowder, Colton Dixon, Rebecca St. James, and TRALA on the Revival stage on Friday, August 3rd! Educated at Tuskegee University and the University of North Texas, Sho Baraka studied Television/Film, Anthropology, and Public Administration. He has become a creative, consultant, and social-thought leader in contemporary culture. He has spent the last decade traveling the world as a recording artist and public speaker. He has done numerous overseas activist works, ranging from race relations in South Africa to establishing musical cohorts in Indonesia. He is an award nominated artist and founding member of nationally known hip-hop group 116 Clique. Sho Baraka is also the founder of Forth District and The And Campaign.


PROPAGANDA

Propaganda is no stranger to the SoulFest stage! This year he shares Revival with Skillet, Matt Maher, Zach Williams, and Paul Coleman on Saturday, August 4th.
From the same soil that grew Jim Morrison, Tony Hawk, NWA, Snoop, & Kendrick Lamar, grows another LA native, Propaganda. What do you say about Propaganda? He’s a poet, political activist, husband, father, academic, & emcee. With LA flowing through his veins & armed with a bold message, Propaganda has assembled a body of work that challenges his listeners with every verse & reaches across the spectrum of pop culture. From aggressive battle raps to smooth introspective rhythms, Propaganda’s music will cause you to nod your head, but more importantly it will stretch your mind & heart.

DJ MAJ

DJ Maj is the perfect combination of hip hop & dance music, he joins the SoulFest lineup for the first time on Thursday, August 2nd with TobyMac, Big Daddy Weave, Jordan Feliz, and John Mark McMillan.
The emergence of the DJ in pop culture is an on-time fit for DJ Maj and sixteen years under industry pioneer TobyMac at Goatee Records has given him space to nurture and fine tune his gift. Maj’s first single of 2017 features Gotee Recording artist, Aaron Cole with “What If (produced by Victor “Liquid: Oquendo).” The collaboration pays tribute to the DC Talk classic, “What If I Stumble​.” His 5th full album which features collaborations that include Byron “Talkbox” Chambers of Bruno Mars’ 24k Magic (currently approaching 1 billion YouTube views), Kevin Max (of DC Talk), Shonlock, Just.Live, and production from Grammy award-winning producer Roy Battle (Eminem, Bruno Mars, Rihanna, etc.).
